Some run them outdoors as well, to protect fancy metal shock tops.

Default breakages

I have had several people comment that the shock protectors that they have bought from me have saved their shock towers breaking on more than 1 occasion as the protector takes the impact and flexes and soaks up the intial hit, thus saving the shock tower from the initial hit.

Money well spent
