i use appropriately angled conical diamond bits for countersinking carbon now, it kills the normal countersink bits, save them for alloy now.

Best countersunk bit I have came across, the right angle for M3 headed screws and carbide so it will last donkeys even on carbon

Hi All

I picked up an 82 deg 6 mm bit which worked great for the 4-40 screws and also a 90 deg bit which worked for the m3 screws. Not sure how many holes i'll get done using these bits but for £6 for them both it did the job I needed doing.

Next, I need to find someone who will cut a piece of brass for me neatly if I supply the template????
