i'm hoping to get an S2 in the near future and currently have a b4 to use as a donor and have heard that people use losi shocks instead.

does anyone have a link or part number for a complete set or if i am barking up the wrong tree and there are other shocks that should be used can you let me know.

cheers guys

Shocks have to be bought in parts I am afraid Bill and are quite expensive, or try and find some second hand ones and rebuild.

As far as I know nearly everyone is using the Losi shocks on theirs.

setup has changed a little since then Bill, we now almost always use the #56 pitston in the front and rear piston will be either #55 or #56, this will be your choice really on which rear end setup you like most.

Ah bollocks! I forgot to check that...

How much of a biggie is it to use XX4 rear shocks & pistons? More droop that's all?

Don't do it. XX4 shocks are way too long. Uptravel is reduced as well!

As Elvo says, don't do it. It would handle really badly.

You would be better off with associated shocks than XX4. You need to get the

LOSA5055 Threaded Shock Body Set .9" x1
and
LOSA5064 Shock Shaft,1.0" Ti-Nitride x2

the xx4 bodies are too long though, they will seriously limit the up-travel...

I will, I promise!

Are AE rear shock bodies/pistons different length as to 2- and 4WD as well?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but, B4 rear shocks are the same as B44 rear shocks.

B4/B44 rear shocks are only a little shorter than the xxxcr rear shock. (LOSA5055 Threaded Shock Body Set .9" , LOSA5064 Shock Shaft,1.0" Ti-Nitride)

Also you want 2x each size of shock body ie; 2x.6 & 2x.9 four in all.
Paul.
Sorry did not see the word SET, it is late

Correct, 1 pack = 2 threaded shock bodies and 2 threaded collars

Springs: front black, blue, green. rear: red, pink
