Default Non-race electrics advice

Hi,

I've picked up a Ansmann X2 SC Pro whilst they are going cheap/available and plan to use it non competitively. I was racing 1/12 (brushed/NiMH) earlier in the year but sold up but the bug has bitten again and I just haven't a clue with LiPo/Brushless electrics

I'm looking to keep the costs low but would also like reasonable quality kit should I decide to expand my interest.

A friend has a SC truck and has recommended:
  • Ansmann W3 2.4Ghz radio
  • Fastrax Bullseye tyres (Wheels included in the kit)
  • Turnigy TrackStar 120A Brushless Short Course Truck ESC
  • HobbyKing X Car 8.5 Turn Sensored Brushless Motor
  • Turnigy 1259TG Digital Titanium Gear Servo 57g 16kg 14sec
  • Turnigy nano tech 5300mah 2S2P 50 100C Hardcase Lipo Pack
Does that all seem reasonable or do you have any other suggestions? I also need a charger as well and was considering an Ansmann xMove 2.0 Deluxe or Imax B6.

Any help much appreciated.....

The HobbyKing X-car motors are sensored but, the 120a Turnigy SC ESC is a non-sensored unit.

The sensored Saker 90a ESC from GiantShark is the same price as the Turnigy ESC & will run down to a 6.5 motor so, given the X2SC is 2wd using a 540 size motor i'd have thought this with a 8.5 or even a 10.5 would work well.
