Hi All.
Closing date for this meeting is Friday of this week (7th January). In the unlikely event that the meeting is "full" I will contact unsuccessful entrants individually to let them know. Otherwise if you have enterred you are "in" the event.
We will not be posting an entry list on an open website as I see this very much as an invitation for any robbers to come and burgle your house as they know you will be away for the weekend.
There is little we can do if entries are "lost in the post" but from experience this is far more rare than you would think. This is why we ask for an SAE with your entry so that when it is returned you know at least your entry was in fact posted and received.
Regards

Charlie, just a thought but as the BRCA now has a funky new website and it is possible to do your membership via electronic payment (a huge personal thank you from me for that, makes life SO much easier for me) can we not look towards central booking for such events in the future?

I do agree with the not posting a list thing but at least with electronic entries it is easy to know they have been recieved and processed.

Keep up the good work mate .... lets hope the BWOC is quite full if not oversubscribed!!!

Seriously guys n gals, this club really know what they are doing and a can assure you it will be the best BRCA winter meeting you have been to for a long time!!!

Just in my opinion...this idea of people (who ever the hell they are) reading an entry list to an event & then robbing your house is quite frankly absolutely bloody rediculous,I know we race toy cars but how many of us actually live alone anyway??

Hi All

Officially entries for the British Winter Open Championship closed today. However the event is not full and I am not all that busy over the next few days so if there is anyone who has missed the deadline but still wishes to take part get your entries in the post. You can PM or Email me to let me know you are posting an entry but of course places are dependant on receipt of fees.

Some new questions and some old ones...

Is there a shop?
Are there controlled tires?
What's the surface?

There's no chance of last minute cancellation due to low numbers is there? I'll be there if it's on!

Hi Dave
No chance of last minute cancelation the event will happen.
Tyres are not controlled but indoors usually yellow mini-pins work best.
The club will need to confirm the attendance of a shop.
The track I assume it will be carpet or carpet/wood floor type mix.
Regards.

Doors open at the venue at 0700am. on Saturday and Sunday.
Booking in will be the same as for any other National starting at 0730am until 0815am.
Practice will start in heats at 0800am - probably two rounds.
Drivers Brief after practice with Qualification Round 1 starting at or about 10am.
Finals taking place after 4 Rounds of qualification starting at about 4.30/4.45 pm.
And the winner will be...............

The lads from the Hereford asked me to do shop for this event and i can confirm that i will be there"TRACKSIDESPARES" racing both classes AND hopefully have enough spares inc tyres to keep everyone running all weekend.
If anyone wants to prebook tyres, spares etc, give me a ring on 07812 115259 so i can bag it all ready for you to collect on the day.

Really looking forward to event and see you all there
