It would be a shame to take away too much of the slidy floor as that is part of the attraction of the racing.

If there is going to be the majority carpet, can you give us as much advanced notice as possible cause that means messing with shocks etc and I don't really want to be rebuilding these things at 7am on Sunday.

The reason I like Benfield is the split in both surfaces, it makes for good racing.

Would be good to clarify the floor asap, bought a full set of mini spikes solely for sunday and now wondering if they are now obsolete?!

It's looking like it's going to be wood down the straight and a bit more carpet where cars potentially might crash a lot .

i ran new minispikes last night at the club, we had full carpet and the car was brilliant, just cut outside edge off the tyres

Anychance someone can fire a picture of the track up tonight once its built so I know if I need to be tearing my car to bits tonight in the hotel?

If the only slidy bit is the straight, is there any point? May aswell be all carpet. I'm not fussed either way but as above I've already mounted a full set of spikes but if its more carpet id rather run pins.

That's me here. Any joy with a pic so I know what I'm doing to this car. Filling shocks at 7am does not fill me with joy.

It's a mixture of carpet and floor.

Thanks so much again to Paul, Mike and the Benfield team for a great meeting. Food was great, track was great (- I thought it was a good balance of carpet and floor), and race direction was great.
Thanks to the lads for some great fair racing .... Lee and Simon from 2wd, and Allan in 4wd ... You were unlucky not to win mate. Might be worth someone calling through there leaders at the next round in the final.
Also some great racing from the juniors.

Thanks again ... Looking forward to the next round already.

Looking forward to the videos being put up and the race data.

Have a great Christmas everyone.
