Good to meet you finally.
Awesome report. I've plugged it on racechat and a few of the underground Rx forums (so if you see hits from pages that you can't view, that's why). Your photos are unreal, really top stuff. Phil is very happy indeed. Really dunno how you got it done so quick. I got home early to update the website for the finals, and started writing my report about 4:40pm, finsihed around 2am this morning and this is all I had done: http://www.glypo.co.uk/neo.php Trying a new layout too for next year. Got some moore videos to come. I basically didn't bother with photos knowing you were getting some amazing stuff. Really top notch stuff though Jimmy, your efforts are appreciated by all! |

Sorry.
I suspect everone knows I'm only joking, its a compliment to Jimmy's report. I should really insert a disclaimer on ALL my posts reminding everyone that all I say is total dribble and should under no curcumstances be taken seriously.

Those wheels arent quite as bad as spokes ! but dishes all the way! hehe
I had 6.5 gig of traffic yesterday - which I think must be the most in one day ever for oOple. Who's up for the Proline then ? |

Jimmy, Chris etc.
Over a 5 minute run which would be quicker an electric 1/10 or the ic 8th, i have never see one run properly you see and would a elec 1/10 scale of cleared those jumps ? |

Even though I am not a big fan of 1/8th, I did enjoy the racing. It was very close and the 45 min final really attracted me. The only thing is, is I know nothing about engines. I think it would be a big problem. Loved the track and would love to have a 1/10th meeting there. I do think the electric boys would take the biscuit around the track though. Even over them big jumps. I would defo think about having ago.

depends on the track and how bumpy it is..take the nook track for instance, you would get beaten to death driving an electric around there as its so bumpy,on a smooth track there wouldnt be much in it but i think an electric would come out on top.
you dont have to know much about engines, they are pretty bulletproof now and once the engine is set it needs very little tuning when the air pressure changes a lot, besides, theres always someone willing to lend a hand at rallycross. dave |

comparing 10th elec to 8th nitro is like comparing a go-kart to a LeMans car.
on their own tracks each of them would win, the kart is built for short sprints, the LM car is built to go the distance. on that track, I think I could have got a 10th car around it quicker than my 8th, but I am fairly sure I would have snapped my 10th car before the end of a 20 minute final |

agreed chris, the 10th cars cannot take the abuse that a 1/8th can,no way near it.
some of the crashes that we have with 1/8th are nothing short of 'oh dear...thats going to skint me'..only for it land on its wheels and carry as if it was nothing. dave |

Yea, the first time i drove my hyper i landed on the back shock tower from 3a's massive double, and it carried on like i had landed normally :P

I have to say, it was like driving a brick, but a very strong one. it lacked the finesse (ooh) of 10th but it made up for it in sheer muscle and strength. I saw one car land from the massive jump on another and both carried on.. and I gave mine so much stick it was crazy..

You're everywhere.
I was impressed with the layout of the XRC, bit short though! |
