Will a xx4 one way fit the x5, does it require work or will it not fit at all?

The pulley is different, so it won't fit

Cheers for the info guys,

I'm happy with dremeling/filing, the only thing I'mworried about is drilling new holes as I don't have a good way of measuring distance etc to get it right! I can handle the belt tensioners (I can use Tamiya eccentric ones to get it right!) but do the other mods require much drilling?

Depends which one it is. The Losi one fits straight in with the XFactory Pulley. The Apex/Lesro/DC Racing one needs to be modified.

You can download the manual from www.4wdrc.com - and yes, you only need a hole for the belt tensioner. Other that that it's just dremelling.

See also http://www.ymr.no/10orTips.htm for some tech tips

I always find a rule or a vernier is handy

Was that an X5 specific one? My understanding was if you had the XX4 Specific one it would require some modifying to fit the X5 pulley, I could be wrong tho.

I think he meant if you already have a oneway with a XX4 pulley on it. The teeth are different (finer mesh on the XX4) and also the number of teeth.

You must do a very small mod also when installing the Lesro btw http://www.one-ten-rcforums.com/4wdr...ic.php?id=1328 and Paul's bulkhead mod http://www.4wdrc.com/tech/bulkhead.htm

You're right. I've done it, but I'd rather buy a complete one made specifically for the X-5.

Right,

Think I am going to take the plunge on one!

Are the "DPP" or is it "DDP" pulleys the ones with Xfactory part numbers?

Ideally the bits needed as extras I'll order in one go from DMS, so you can expect a call tomorrow guys!!

Dave

Tom is right that the original 'apex' style alloy XX4 one way needs modifying to fit, the flange is tgoo big for starters.

However Lesro do a one way designed to specifically fit the X5 direct, which is buy and fit directly

I've used the Losi one, it requires no mods, just bolt it together.

Sorry guys, are Lesro and DDP the same people?

Have got the kit on order and putting together a list of the other "necessary" bits! Wondering if the "DDP" stuff people are talking about and Lesro is the same!
