know idea where the soldering irons came from but i know for sure they didn't come from my dads place.

Same here, great product that did what it stated, plus won events and my soldering iron never failed me, loved it so much have it still and still going strong. Tried a few things they made and were well though out and designed. He made a difference to a lot of people and must be looking down at us knowing he made a difference.

Wasp racing done the soldering irons then SPEC RACING brought wasp racing out and we Refined the iron under our banner

My Late father and i was SPEC RACING

I managed to get a new old stock one in the summer from another racer, I was made up. I've had my iron since 1996. It would be amazing if they were brought back into manufacturer.

I bought some copper rod and asked Clive Lyons to cut and turn it down to size works a treat

That'll work for me. Just need to measure the OD of the tip. pretty sure its 10mm....

I've picked up a lazer ZX with a MMS layshaft and Wasp slipper, unfortunately the slipper ring and 2 spring washers are missing, still a couple of spurs on ebay, question is does anyone have the bits or could show me the spec of the ring so I can manufacture a replacement or alternative, can get springs direct from Belville if needed although slightly different
