Default Kyosho RB6 Vega GEN III

I'm ready to pull the trigger on this nice piece of kit but wanted to have some feedback from those that already have purchased it.

Thanks!

Ran it for the first time today, really really pleased! Got 2nd at Coventry Dez Chand meeting (well I was never going to best Tom Yardy!). After a bit of camber gain & anti-squat reduction, I got it going really well. Then it rained, chucked on the 1 deg hubs, bit more ride height & appropriate tyres, it was awesome on wet astro. Beautifully balanced, lots of steering, could adjust line if i got a corner wrong and it didnt bite, really nice to drive. See how it goes at the regional tomorrow, so far so good.

Is it much better than mid-motored RB6?

Hi 'andoiwebb' can you give a brief decription of the setup you are running on your Vega please? Are you running a stock RB6 setup or as some seem to prefer the RB5 rear wishbones and hubs? Any shell off photos or close ups to show us?

Thanks

Default RB6 Gen3 set up

This is how I ran it at Coventry on Saturday and it was really nice to drive. Raced again Sunday, due to cold & miserable weather I dropped 2.5wt all round shock oils, raised 1mm ride height all round and used gold spring on front. Car was great all day except in final, think the set of ballistics were past their best and so was I! It certainly generated a bit of interest and people commented that it looked good. Need to get a dry set up sorted, just need some dry weather.

I think the reason it's the weight it is, is because that's how much brass would fit in the areas of the chassis machined out for torsional flex.

Ran it at Telford on bumpy high grip astro and thought it was top notch. Lots of steering, great balance and really easy to drive fast.

What rear hangers do you use on this. I have some brand new exotek mid motor wide configuration hangers I was going to use. Will these be ok or will I need something else, or do they come in the kit?

I was running the wide hangers (um514 & 515) and I'm going to try the narrow ones (511 & 512) tomorrow.
