Are you cutting all of these by hand ?

Stunning work fella. I love the pixelated Mario that's so cool ! And the Thomas one made me laugh, you've put a shed load into these. I'll stick to the race stuff myself but hats off to you for all your hard work, well done

All my hand, you mentalist

If you're any good on the computer and can use vector based programs like Illustrator, Corel Draw or the completely free InkScape get yourself a cutter and some masking vinyl, so much easier, all your lettering and big shapes can be done with it. That said you have to faff with tape over the rest of the body and the masking film won't always conform to the shell shape, it's worth looking at though as you can have the best of both worlds then, liquid mask for general coverage and the cutter for neat super cool logo's and stuff.

Some where further on in this thread is a think all about cutters if you search through it.

i have a vinyl cutter mate and i do use it, but i only tend to use it on logos and solid images that are going onto mostly flat surfaces, i dont like the bleeds you get from masks on contours etc, but this is all a learning curve to me mate and i'm just learning as i go

That's really cool, did you get a mask or cut it by hand ? Either way looks spot on.

See how the 46 is pin lined, if you'd done that on the main shell either side of the red and white it would have looked uber cool. However you might not have had the time or the money might not have been in the job... so I'll get me coat

Nice neat shell, you seem to be coming along very well !

The Tow Mater one is ace !

Spidey one is cool too, great hexagons on that, I love hexagons, good way of shading things. About 7 years ago I saw a Spider Man themed Yamaha R1, they'd done them on that, I used it for a while as texture on helmets I did, Massa has them on his Schuberth helmet making the neon green to chartreuse fade, super cool.

Have you seen this ultra slim micro masking tape, would have been a good guide to mark your silver lines out with. I think if they were a touch thinner it would look a little better ?

The firey one, woah, lots going on with that one.

Nice to see you turning out more good work !

Gotta agree with what's already been said, lookin' good

The TC shells are ace, one on it's own would have been ace but 5, yeah that's super cool, nice going.

Come on, fess up, did you hand cut all the spidey & thing stuff or are they transfers ? Loving the colours on the Big foot shell too, nice little sparkly too the blue. Is the 'Bigfoot' all painted too or a sticker ? Either way it's lookin' ace and I doubt you're charging enough for your time on it.

The skully one, meh, not my thing but no taking away from the quality of work

thanks for all the comments folks
the spiderman and thing were both tests, done with magazine clippings and some watered down liquid mask, i wanted to try the magazine thing as i'd had someone request a page 3 model on their shell
the bigfoot logos are stickers made by stoff(graphics bat) off here

WOW, there's a whole load of work there... Too much in one post, you should get on here more often, although you probably don't have time, too busy painting eh

I like all of them, they all look neat, nice and clean. However they're all a little bit simple for your normal high standards ! I like the doctor one, it's a shame you didn't make more of it though. Last years hand painted helmet ( Robbi Arno of DID paint does them for Drudi, if you want to look up his website, there are image of him painting it all by hand ), I think you could of got a lot more into it. That said if that's all hand done and all painted I've gotta take my hat off to you due to the shear amount of masking and the number of colours involved, it's a good shell, I just think there needs to be some more in the blue in it !

Loving the little lexus logo's all over the wing ! Nice detail !

The Raybrig needs more sponsors on it to look like a full blown race car but that a fantastic base to start it off, my mate had one about 10 years ago while I had the Dome Avec Mugen, about 80 bloody decals from Tamiya, it did look stunning though. The black and sort of Union jack one is cool with the carbon effect.

The last one you posted, the Renown one, that's super cool, reminds me of a blue and orange Mazda paint scheme they used to us, lots of masking, very neat, great job !

Nice to see you churning them out too, you've done about 21 compared to my pathetic 1 in the last few weeks

Cheers Ian, i can't wait till the customer has stickered them up a bit with more sponsor stickers and headlights etc, then sends me pics of them, i'm pleased with them all although i would do the lexus one a little different if done again, anyways forgot to add these pics
