Default BRCA Approved LIPO List Update

Hi All.

A few facts :-

1. A BRCA list of approved Lipo cells is almost complete and shows some 57 different lipo approved cells (42 sticks and 15 saddles). In fact it should be completed today and following a final OK by the Electric Board should appear on the BRCA website sometime over the weekend (subject to the webmasters availability).

2. The amount of work which has gone into production of this list has been immence!
Emails between the Manufacturers and the BRCA alone have topped 1000 since the AGM approved the dimensions.
The adoption of this new technology has required all cells on this BRCA list to be measured, weighed, photographed etc since the end of January 2009 closing date for cell submission, as opposed to just the few new/updated cells received in a normal year.
We should be eternally grateful that the BRCA has someone with the knowledge and commitment to undertake this work on our behalf and give so freely of his time.

3. As explained already on the BRCA website stockists have rightly been waiting for the list to be published to avoid committing themselves to none BRCA approved stock. This is completely understandable so it may take a little time longer before stocks of every cell type are available for purchase.

Thank you for your continued patience - it will not be long now!

Charlie Fraser
Sec. BRCA 1/10th Off-Road Section.

Thank you for clarifying the situation Charlie, and to Paul who has obviously been hard at work.

As the official 1/10th PRO I thank you personally PW, and all that have helped put in the hours to bring us this list!!!!!

57 is a huge number of approved cells, and I call on all the whiners & whingers about this subject to take note of all hard work that has taken place on your behalf!!!!!!

The BRCA is second to none in all of the RC World!!!!!!!

Dave, being the PRO of the BRCA 10th off-road section, maybe you could keep us informed of how things are proceeding, rather than people wondering. We all know what has to be done, and do appreciate it, but in these modern, 21st century times, it doesn't take two minutes to do an update on a forum or two, just so people know whats happening?

I figured it was well publicised when the list was going to come out, and it appears to be a bit early.
And I don't believe that all know how much work goes into making a list like this, so I thought it would be ok to poke a bit of fun at this subject!!!
As far as giving an update, well I am here to promote the BRCA. I am not involved in rule making at the moment, and to be honest, I didnt even think this was something I should be involved in.

I don't mind a bit of fun poking, we all do it.

But as the options are there to update people on important subjects, why not use the forums, rather than being in the dark, keep us in the light, as you say, Paul is busy producing a list, he can't.

Probably more people realize it's a lot of work than then say so, it's been commented on several times over the last month or so!! Maybe we should just acknowledge it more often!!

And as long as everyone does realize the work that goes into it an stays respectful of all involved, I don't see it as a problem disagreeing with some of the rules/decisions at the same time! Hopefully this will all soon be over and done with as a debate and everyone can get on with the racing without giving battery choice a 2nd thought!!

Don't get me wrong, I am not having a go, but there are people in here back slapping who were also moaning about the cell list. If there is an active way of keeping us in the loop of changes, then that is better than shit flinging....

Pro-Active, not silent is best.
