Post build your self

i have recently been looking at a build it yourself (kit).And i was wondering where do i get the radio gear and also what are they

Any decent modelstore will sell you radio gear, servo, speed controller and motor.
What you should get depends on budget, what car it's going in and what you are going to do with that car.

Let us have some more information and then we can hopefully make some recommendations.

you need to decide if its to race or just bash? a cheep set will include a transmiter a reciver and a servo also sticks or wheel?
