Hi gents.

Newbe here. Im hoping to get up to you in the next couple of weeks for a play. Used to do TC years ago and have just got myself a 2wd 22 to have a play with.

Can you please tell me what sort of motors etc people run with and the sort of finish time to a Friday night.

Any other info or points that you feel would be useful before I come up for the first time.

Pedders, most at the club run 10.5T (boosted?) to 6.5t motors. and we normally finish 10.00 ish depending on how many people attending. (correct me if im wrong)

Hi there, I think most people are between 10.5 and 6.5 on motors, our tracks tend to be quite technical so power counts for very little, if you don't already have something suitable an 8.5 is a good starting point in 2wd. Tyres of choice are yellow low profile cut staggers front and yellow minispike rears. We have the hall until 10:30 so we're finished and packed away before that time.

Other things worth knowing are you will need a personal transponder (someone may be able to lend you one but it can't be guaranteed) table + chair + extension lead.

Thank you very much for the input. I bought the losi and it came with two motors the one that works fine is a 5.5 that I think may be too much but can always just take it easy. He also gave me a 8.5 but said it had problems so need to check that one out. I think I have a my laps transponder will this work??

A 5.5 will be a bit much on our tracks but I guess you can turn the end point on the transmitter down to start with, I'm sure myself or one of the other more experienced members could have a look at the 8.5 to see whats wrong with it for you. A my laps transponder will be fine.

That's great thanks. All being well I hope to be along on the 30th. Will give me time to give the car a full once over and do a diff rebuild etc.

Does anyone have a basic setup for the losi 22 I can use as a start. Ie mid or rear mount motor? Shock oil weight and position etc. very much looking forward to it.
