If its true about a £10 charge for me to slap a sign on a bench asking for me to sit next to my mates for the weekend, nothing to do with a "team", who do I see to make my payment and do I have to bend over whilst making payment as thats what it sounds like

Never ever heard of a charge for pitting next to my mates before, where is the meter to put my 50p's for the leccy to charge my cells ? Or can I use the genny in the hall ?

Jesus
AAAAAAARRRRRGGHH I think I am going to kill myself!!! No charge for pitting, no charge for electric, no charge for breathing, no charge for parking!!! etc... if a TEAM wants to guarantee pitting space they can pay for the privilege, if not then you just need to turn up before others like you do already to most events!!! simple as that!! Why would you have not entered had you known we were open for practice? I still do not understand this logic, WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE?? All those who have run in the Team Durango series have already had the advantage as they have raced here before! Practice IS NOT on the PETIT track!! It will be very different and I bet I also get moaned at on Saturday because it has changed too much!! Also practise in not part of the Petit event, it is not included in the fees, you are basically paying to have a shake down on an indoor buggy track that happens to be open all day Thursday and Friday morning, and happens to be in the same building as the Petit RC event the following day, think of it like that.

Anyone else want to open this topic back up or are we done on the subject?

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR PITTING!!!!

I heard there was some red carpet and some blue carpet.

BUT

My favourite colour is green so can you change the carpet for some green one? I think it's better on the eyes and on such a long weekend, it's always welcome.

Oh and while we're at it those big red letters are offending my sensibility so can you please make them green too?

So how much does it cost to pit inside?

More importantly, what time do doors open on Thursday and Saturday?

Will it be safe to leave gear overnight?

I think the situation with practice is that there will certainly be an advantage for those who have run on the new carpet, the quote from nicholas himself in his official (<- should i call it that?) is :

"Hi furious drivers!

Some informations for the Petitrc:

Ardent Raceway decided to open their venue for practise.

Practice is available from Thursday morning at 09:30 and closing just Thursday night at 22:00. Opening at 09:30 Friday morning until 15:00 on Friday. Then the pits MUST be vacated.

Cost will be £10 for the day and we will run practice sessions baised on ability.

Carpet will be the same as that used for the Petitrc to enable people to set cars up BUT it won't be the Petitrc Track layout and ramps.

the 2011 rule is coming and you will find it on the Petitrc race website.
ONLY official news are here.

Best regards,"

Also according to the races rule book, the petit race runs ftd qualifying, (as it always has) which means you are going to need to 'be on it!' from the very start, I'm sure the whole field will be close, but in particular the top 20 drivers who will be battling for a place in the A which will certainly be extremely close with those tenths here and there being very important, noone wants to lose out on this extra little bit of performance.

Only if everyone pays £5 for storing their pit bag, also seating near a fire extinguisher or fire exit carries a levy charge of £2. Also did I say you have to buy credits for the toilets, and wheelchair users have to pay more because they use the disabled ramp. I think that's everything covered off. Oh no I forgot the use of cameras is prohibited unless you buy a permit for £10, oh and we are doubling the price of the food and locking your cars in the car park so you have to eat at our cafe.

Yep Primafelt cord carpet smooth side up will be used both for practice and the race, it's our carpet of choice and it's what was down over most of the track at Round1 and 3 of the Durango series, glad to see the back of the fluffy stuff I can tell you, still picking bits out of our coffees!!

Thursday "playing" is at 09:30 until 18:00. We are then running a race meeting on Thursday from 19:00 onwards. Cost is £5 for 4 hours, race meeting is a further £7 for non-members which majority of you will be since we are normally on on-road facility. If you are a member of the Raceway it will be the usual £5.

Friday we are open for "playing" from 09:30 until 15:00, then we have to ask everyone to leave (you can leave your stuff behind at your own risk) F.O.C :-) while we set up the Petit track and ramps and other surprises.

John.

maybe next year they should run the petit event on the moon, with no practice allowed before hand so there is no home advantage to ANYONE lol!
