Lightbulb Something new ;-)

Something i am always looking at is new materials to use with the atomic-carbon stable of cars

Below is a kevlar / carbon fibre tub chassis for the S4 which Mat Dodd is testing, the chassis has a outer layer of kevlar and the normal inner layers of carbon fibre, the kevlar should help reduce any wear to a minimum on the chassis, and also doubles up as a small bullet proof vest in emergences lol. The only draw back is with kevlar is that when you do wear down to the kevlar it can get hairy.

Depending on how testing goes it might be introduced on the S2 / S4.

Hate to be a pain.. but the statement about the outer ply being kevlar isn't quite true...
It would appear to be a woven Carbon/Kevlar fabric (or RAC in Gurit terms ), rather than pure kevlar (kevlar is the yellow bit, carbon is black). Like I said, hate to be a pain.....

Still looks funky though, one-day I'll use some of that in some Home-jobs... never gets used at work

I stand corrected "a outer layer of kevlar/carbon fibre".

has that sweet "bumble bee" look to it. now, for the kevlar version of the car you need the aluminum anodized yellow, THAT would be sweet!
