Default Losi big bore shocks X6 what oil?

Hello

I'm running indoors on low grip polished floor with an X6 using big bore Losi shocks, pink rear & red front springs. Has anyone any advise as to what oil would suit? The car is not too bad but pushes wide out of corners feels loose at the back. Have tried shock positions/weights with mixed results none of which cure the problem.

What pistons?
I use a 54 piston in the rear with 2 1.2mm holes drilled and 30 wt oil.
On the front a 55 piston with 2 1.0mm holes drilled and 35 wt oil.
Go down to a yellow spring on the rear and run a longer camber link.

I had the same symptoms on this kind of surface, losing the rear on nearly every damn corner. Standard asso V2 settings : 35wt front/30 wt rear, pistons 2. I tried these changes :

-saddle disposition to stick
-replacing brass bulkhead with standard plastic
-shortening wheelbase by changing rear hub position

It went from horrible to bad. Strangest thing is I won two months before on the same track with the same setup, only this time it was much colder. I didn't know it could change grip this drastically.

Do you have any idea what I should have tried next? Maybe it would help trevpotter too.

Come on TP just ask Jim!!! Though I'll tell you what he'll say Black springs front red piston 35wt oil, Pink rears red piston 30wt. Long rear link E speed down, inline front 30 caster.

Please post your full setup, inc tyres. If you can elaborate on what you have tried and what the effect was, that would be helpful too.

Thanks

Also ditch the kit shock caps and bladders.
Use the rtr caps with the bleed holes instead.

Angry

Cheers for all that

I think the upshot of all the advice is 30 rear/35 front as its the easiest quick option. Will try the piston mods if it isnt any better. If I was running Associated shocks I think I'd be able to attempt to sort it but I've no experience with the Losi's.

Also going to lighten the car as I had'nt taken all the weights out from outdoor. WHOOPS!!!

And Yes Ralphy, I have been onto Yoda Wilkinson and the same he says as above.

Team much much improved indoors with a B44.1
