Default XXXCR

I have been trying a few differant things on my xxxcr, one is flipping the rear pivot block. Has anyone else tried this? How did they find it?

I am still looking for a nice generic set up, something I will try at Kidderminster on Sunday?

Most of the team have been running that since the prototype car, it helps it go through the bumps better.
Have a look here http://www.helgerracing.com/eknowled...eframeset.html
and go to the losi setup page and try the setups for stotfold.

Is that with 25grams of weight in the back as well? Also how does the front shock position relate to the same position using the newxxxcr front shock tower? Did you try that in the wet at Stotfold Brian? How was it?

It's 35 grams in total in the front and there is 10g either side at the bact behind the speedo. The shock positions on that setup sheet are that of the XXXcr. and that was the setup I started with in the wet and stayed with once the track dried out.

Carl they are the same item, except the centre braces are removed for the XX4 one. As most only use the 2deg block on both 2 & 4wd it's easier and cheaper for people to carry the XXXcr one pn: LOSA2113 and if you need it for the XX4 just remove the bracing.

Brian, brain fade meant on the set up sheet is mentions front shock positions relative to original front shock tower.. I just wondered how this relates to the new shock tower?

The only difference is there is 1 extra inner hole on the tower, the outer 3 holes are in the same position as the old tower, so it would be the middle hole from the old tower.

Thanks Brian. Would you change that at all for Kidderminster?

Hi Brian

Well gave the set up a go yestesrday at Kidderminster. Ended up with short wheelbase, also taking out the washers under the turnbuckle at the rear. Went down 10wt oil rear, and 5wt in the front, changed the front spring to a green and put a small limiter in there.

You?

Tyres
Front - Schu Green mini's firm insert
Rear - Ballistic Green Mini spikes Soft insert

Motor

The car felt really good and had good drive out of the corners.
it handled the camber change really well at speed coming onto the tabletop.
It got a little loose on the back on the 3rd run, but that was down to it starting to go damp in the air and the rear tyres were just about knackered.

If you are going to Coventry on 28-01-07 come over and say hello, otherwise I will be at the next round at Kidderminster.
