Default My YZ10 Collection

Hello All

My vintage collection is focused on a single car...

I have 3x 94 YZ10's (2x box art cars and the pink one)

I have 1x Pavidis WCS (the green car)

All cars have a TCS unit installed.

One of the box art cars has a lot of extra blue and carbon bits, the other is pretty stock and essentially mint.

The pink car is my brushless runner (10.5T Novak Ballistic with Edge ESC)..very fast.

The WCS car is my brushed runner (Novak Cyclone with Check Point 10.5T motor)

I figure that if I plan on running the YZ10 that I should have more than one so I picked up a few

I just finished these , a pair of Ayk cars from the mid 1980's , an Ayk Sidewinder and an Ayk Bobcat, both cars were in superb condition and just needed new bodies, 30+ years of grime removing and new bearings ,even the gears were virtually perfect so neither car could have seen much use, i was even lucky enough to find a set of reproduction decal sets for them . I didn't really like the Sidewinder box art but i love the Bobcat box art so both go a variation of the Bobcat box art ,they are followed by the rest of the gang .

I only have one car in my collection currently but have pics of a few of my old cars too.

My current car below is a Turbo Ultima Pro (a Turbo Ultima being upgraded to Ultima Pro specs).

Below are 2 old cars I used to own. A Schumacher Club 10 on the left and a restored Ultima Pro XL on the right.

A JRX PRO I used to own. I know it's a crappy pic.

An old drawing I did years ago of a body I had on my Ultima Pro at the time. Does it look familiar to anyone? I don't remember what it was called or who made it. Edit: Found out from someone on FB that this is a Proline Baja Bug Modified #3002.

First one in my collection. Built in 1987 but never driven, came with Team Assiciated Stock Motor, mechanical speed controller and Futaba servos. Only thing that is missing is the box, so if anyone has one laying around, let me know. I took it apart to clean it and will shelf it when done. Now I'm looking for more cars to my collection, drivers preferred, as this really is too good for that.

A little update on my collection, which is getting bigger. Got the body for goldpan and two new project cars.

It's a better fit than the TBG one , the TBG body fits inside this one ,slightly thinner lexan though and still a little narrow where the battery tray is so my modern 2s stick lipo's still rub the body , I guess I'll just use a shorty pack instead , the wing is just what I wanted though , I never really liked the other one that was a RPS replica , it was just too small for the original style doggy body .

It was worth the sacrifice then there’s another 834 body that a guy in Hong Kong which is like the SE body so I think I’ll have to get one of those too

Is that the more boxy "Funco" body like the one Gill Lossi had on his Dogfighter when won the 1985 world's ? I almost got one of those instead so I'd have two different styles but I was always disappointed with my first doggy body , it was the first body I'd painted in 25+ years and I botched it plus it never fitted to my liking so this one has rectified that .

Similar to that funco one, I badgered Steve to pull that one he said it was fugly and the one you’ve got is a couple of a Mr Lexan one that I sent him. This is the one that Kelen is making along with the all alloy car.

You know it's strange how we all want different things , I had the all alloy front suspension and but wanted the stock plastic , I now have the plastic stock suspension and I'm thinking of building up a more expendable runner with the alloy parts , it never ends does it

Blinkin flip mother but that would hurt if it hit your ankle , I'm not really sure what to make of it other than it's a fair bit of gob smacking work to make !
Impressive is what it is .
The gearboxes would sell like hot cakes on eBay especially if they included metal gears !
