Default RB5 Mid Custom Special

Hello you RB5 lovers,

Thought I'd give an update on my little project...

It's coming along nicely, given that I only started working on it after Oz...

I will try start making the first two on saturday, and am hoping they'll be ready for Stottfold, but no promises.

Fab

Should be pal.

Yeh one's for you...

Bring your spare car...

Will try and have them done the week end prior to Stottfold then organise some testing with Ralph in the week, so we're not going to a national totally blind...

Pictures will come up soon enough.

What I can tell you is it's muchly like the X6.

Plastic chassis (although milled not moulded)
4 gears gearbox

Are you gonna make a new tranny case so that you can run standard rotation motors?

Yes 4 gears as it seems the way to go.

Thanks for the kind comments guys, there is obviously still a lot of work to be done but I'm starting machining tomorrow morning (and this is probably what's gonna take the longest as I've got to make jigs for each part before I can make the part).

SP shocks : Short bodies with 54mm shafts.

Niggs told me to try and get as much rear droop as possible so the holes on the tower are 2mm lower than on the SP.
