U409N is the kit or part number for the ProCat... so all ProCat's produced come under this # - However the ProCat was only produced for three years (89' to 92') - so you can be sure that it was from this time period

I think the only thing that could really indicate an early to later release car is that the shocks on the early cars seem to be raw/natural aluminium where as later cars had plated shocks.

There was also the Procat SE, which I think had the silver coloured vari-shocks instead?

This is it. The guy I bought it off sent me these pics I haven't had chance to take any. It has the wheels with It like the ones on the box with very perished tyres and a fair amount if spares not bad for £30 I want to clean it up and run it with a brushless setup so need a few bits trying to source a slipper for it help on that would be appreciated.

I think Northy has a Wasp Slipper available. I've sent him a message on fb.

I have a BNIP WASP slipper and spurs, or a used original Schumacher one.

For £30 - thats a result!! Well done!

You've already got the 2.2" Bosscat wheels - so no worries with running modern tyres & that finned aluminium rear gearbox housing is a very nice period mod to have! - an expensive part back in the day!

I've been lucky in finding a full BossCat slipper/layshaft assembly, which I might one day adapt to use a twin disk slipper assembly from a modern Schumacher.

I have also been lucky in getting a nib bosscat part built with new wheels the ones with the Procat are a bit well very tatty so I think a new set of jc wheels will be on order. I started stripping it last night and all seems pretty good for it's age so when I get some more time and money to spend on it or when my mms bits turn up I will do A bit more.
