Not sure why thats happening mate.

I ran a 5.5 today on a grass track, in really hot conditions with no problems.

Have you checked to make sure your transmission is running free?

On the list for later tonight. Drop pinion off and give it all a clean and check. Feels free, but proper check

Mikey... two of us running 6.5's today

one on a SP equivalent V2.1 speedo and the other on a SXX v2 both with zero timing on the speedo and zero timing on the motor...

One had 21/84 FDR of 9.75 (v2.1)

Other had 22/80 FDR of 8.86 (sxx v2)

Mix of Astro and Grass at Oswestry track, Air Temp about 28c

Both motors were temping around 145c

Neither thermalled

Not sure if that helps...

What pulleys are you running? so i can calc your FDR ?

Really? We have not chose the layout yet, and with a 30ish metre straight, it "wont" be tight..

Just so I'm not going mad.

The picture, can you confirm what the timing is? My thought is minimum.

Mikey

The pic shows the motor is fully wound back, this means that the motor is at its minimum which in the case of the HPI Flux Pro motors is 7 degrees.

Makes the issue worse as it's on min on the can & esc and it over heats?

Going to borrow another motor to eliminate other areas
