decisions!!
I remember you showing me one of those over a Hinckley one time... I didn't realise that you had two of these rare beasts!

The burning question for me is how does the 4wd RC10s handle - say compared to a more regular layout 4wd or a 2wd RC10?

The shocks have the same oil, pistons and springs as the team car
I tried it at kiddy on a frosty track and it did not disappoint, very neutral
I have made a pair of Yok, wheel adapters for the front so the front track is a fair bit wider than the rear, but still within the BRCA limits.
Good old Reedy green label 14x2 it was great

I love your Yokes Ken, never tire of them, ill take the one on the right LOL.
The one on the right seems to be at least for the most part Pavidis, but with a std '94 chassis?
The car on the on the left looks to be all Pavidis IIRC.....either way, two lovely dogs...liking that shell too, i know you posted me one, cant wait to get a hold of it and have it dusted with another Masami design!

Ladies and gentleman, may present you the $3000.00+++ picture..... with only two cars!!!!!

Wow... those are VERY desireable buggies!!! I saw one a couple of weeks ago on ebay, it went for over $1700.00!!!
That's the kind of auction that you have to be prepared to go all the way in, pedal to the metal, with testicle fortitude and with the pen on hand in case the wife get you the divorse papers LOL!!!!

Nice isnt it?! It's aftermarket done, or was done, by MIP. Seeing was is involved and for the money, I would venture to machine one myself.

I think next time one of those comes across I'll have to make a tough decision... I will pay the $1500 and sign the divorse papers. Unfortunately I will then have to go and search for a new supermodel girlfriend

It's the MIP 4-10 Legends conversion for the RC10. Looks even better on a Fibre-Lyte carbon tub, which is still available to order from them.

Definitely not mine, more info here

almost looks like a partial (6 gear? or MIP) trans up front with a "special" shaft and of course the pulley. out back another "special" shaft and pulley...
Now I REALLY wish my RC10 Graphite with MIP tranny hadn't gone missing...

and are you implying you currently HAVE a Supermodel Wife AND get to "play" with your "toy" cars? If so I am totally living in the wrong country!

Asso_man's MIP Legends car must be the 'ultimate' RC10 - everything on it from the MIP conversion, fibrelyte tub, Technacraft wheels (spoiler, turnbuckles & shocks) even down to the ball-raced Quaker-Flash suspension arms are all the most desirable (& expensive) parts you can possibly assemble into one RC10... just amazing!

This RC10 buggy is a clear example of why some bodies are never meant to be painted

Ralphee,

You know you did a terrific job when fellow members, in this case me, expirience a sudden feel of ENVY!!!!!
Man... those buggies look flawless.... Ready for catalog pages!!!
Good job!!!
If I decide to paint my bodies I would like for them to be painted by someone like you!!! Are the thin black lines and details on the Optima painted or trim?

Oh man, there was my head swelling when i realised, it was Jon Miller that painted my shells lol.
He did do such a great job, always does, hence i do have a couple more jobs to send him.
The Optima, is all paint, apart from the actual sponsor decals, all lines etc are painted on at my request buddy......i can paint, but not to Jon's ability.

bests......lee

How much does he charge and where does he lives? I would like to get painted my three Optimas(Original, Special and SE) and the RC10.
In near future I will also get a Turbo Optima and an Avante, probabbly a new one, that will also going to need painting, although the Avante is the easiest of all, I think.

Thanks
Ed

Oh and please... stop showing that Yokomo of yours(joking)!!!! I am starting to look for them on web... that's how is starts!!!

IMHO I believe David (Asso_Man) to be one of the best builders of modified 80s and early 90s cars that there is. His eye for detail and ability to collect the perfect parts is outstanding, he has consistently raised the bar time and again, I doff my cap to you Sir.

This is another of his, this time a Fusion Speed CF Tub build.
