Default diff movement side to side on sx3

Hi guys

just run my car up the drive and back less then 20ft on some old tyres to bed every thing in before racing, adjusting the diffs i found the diff front and rear move side to side by about 4mm?

is this normal?

reading the manual and i cant seem to see any spacers/shims for this

any ideas ??

my sx2 does this too, has caused me no problems and the belts will make the diffs run nice and true

do you think its worth getting shims made for this?

will have a real good look after to see how much movement there is, the front moves more then the rear on mine

Could be why the rear wider belt is fraying and breaking Try shimming it up and see if the belt continues to fray !

do sx2 middle belts break? mine is bloody ancient with no faults what so ever, maybe it's the tensioner causing a problem on the sx3??
