Default New 4WD Jikken-sha

I just stumbled across a little detail of Lee Martin winning the Japanese nationals with a test car on the ty website. Are there any details yet other than rumours of a b-max 4 III with YZ-4 suspension?

As far as I have read it's a shaft drive test mule and not many bmax4 parts so maybe a new car on route? Who knows but what ever is under the body shell it's working so far!!

I wonder what it will be called, B-Max 4 IV or YZ-4 SD?

As we all know, Xray invented the wheel and added holes to it to make it lighter.

That description fits the 4III perfectly. Even the XB4 bodies have been "inspired" by the B-Max series bodies. No surprise there as the prototype Xray used a B-Max 4II body, which IMHO is one of the nicest cab fwd shells ever. Most functional cars share a great deal of design traits, and as with touring cars and 1/8th scale buggies, I expect almost all wheelers to look very similar at least by the end of the decade. Kudos to Yokomo for giving bd another try, but if you need sd to compete at the very top, I can't blame them for following the current gold standard.

Kampenhout winning Cockerill's car was also a "bit" different from what we used to see...
