Stig review

Well, here it is first run at the new track.

We made some small changes to make a good track in to an awesome track.

Ian made me do some Q & A to give you guys some insight in to what I think
Would be a good starting point for this track.

Q & A

Ian Q : Hi Stig so I get right to the point biggest question Maritime Racing have been asked
Tyres what should we use and whats the tyre wear going to be like.
Stig A: Well Ian I feel in 2WD the Mini Pin was faster & 4WD again Mini Pin
BUT spikes in both classes was safer and gave a more even run.

So I will say keep your out door tyres and use them you will have a better overall race and save money.

As for wear I would say you could be racing your Spikes three to four meeting.

Ian Q: So what did you think of the wall of death.
Stig A: What can I say a double ride every lap ( with sparks flying you will see what I mean when you run the wall)
This put a big smile on my face, not that you could see under my visor.

Ian Q: Some what motor was you run in each class
Stig A: 2WD 7.5 and 4WD 6.5 ( The 4WD was an animal :-) )

Ian Q: How did you like the ski jump
Stig A: The way you laid this jump out, gives you time to mount the jump and line up for the
dismount. the jump its self gives you a great landing for a great run down the straight.

Ian Q: Here is your fastest lap time, What do you think of them.
2WD Mini Pins 17.15 Spike 17:50
4WD Mini Pins 16.40 Spike 16:80
Stig A: I was pleased with all my times. But I must say that it will be spikes for me as you do not win a race
on one or to fast laps.

Ian: We look forward to seeing you again at Maritime Racing Thank you for taking time out to join us.
Stig: I had a great time, I will be back,

Sounds like a plan Dave,
Me too - I think I'll be aiming to use up my minispikes as it makes a lot of sense. Maybe minipins for the bigger meets but running my old tyres at club nghts will deffo keep the costs down.

Good Job Stig! (and Ian and the Maritime crew of course)
