Default Kyosho Landjump 4WD

Thought I'd post this for you all if anyone is interested.

I was in my friendly Muscat HobbyLand shop last night and raking around their workshop, tripping over about 30 HPI Bajas and then found this.......I assumed it was Kyosho from the style of the logo "Landjump 4WD" on the front bumper and the telltale "Sandsuper" on the tyres.

A little Google'ing and it is indeed Kyosho but I think this one has had its engine replaced for a more modern one.

I'm an electric man through and through but still found this interesting, must be from the early 1980's? It's had a hard life by the looks of it!

Now, if only I could find a Turbo Optima Mid in the same room......no chance

Dan

Nice piece of history! They were around 85-87. They were used by the Japan team on the first rallycross world championship in France in 86. They were not competitive against the Yankee, Garbo, Magnum cars, but the Japanese took a lot of pics and notes, came later with the mighty Burns and won everything
