Default Losi XX Kinwald Restored with blue bits !!

Hi all,

While I'm waiting for a few bits to come for my RPM build, I had noticed that there is not a lot of Losi vintage buggies on here, or as much as other makes.

So I decided to restore a few.

First up is my Losi XX Kinwald with a few bits. Blue bits range from,

Trinity
Fantom
Losi.

I have completely stripped and rebuilt with no expense spared.

The Kinwald has the original springs fitted. As some of you know, the Kinwald came with blue springs all round. But these were not the Losi blue rate of springs.

Losi Blue front. Rate 3.8
Losi Blue rear. Rate 4.1

Kinwald Blue front. Rate 3.5
Kinwald Blue rear. Rate 2.3

The Kinwald Blue springs were Green front and Pink rear but coloured blue. These are hard to tell without having both springs side by side. When you have both springs side by side the difference is black and white.

The rate of the rears is nearly double. Losi blue 4.1 and Kinwald blue 2.3. When you have both springs side by side the Losi spring coils are almost double the thickness of the Kinwald, but when you actually think of it, they will be.

So if you are unsure if they are Kinwald blue or not. Just try a pink or red spring by the side and if the coil thickness are the same, then they are Kinwald blues.

Pictures coming now !!!

Wow Mark! This and your other XX buggy are both absolutely stunning..... first you churn out some fine examples of one of my favourite 2wd buggies - the Cougar2..... then these examples of my absolute favourite buggy the Losi DoubleX. Both XXs feature some proper nice (& rare) upgrade parts (that Trinity front bulkhead especially!) I've been buying and saving up XX parts for many years now but haven't managed to get hold of many of the items you have..... where's the secret stash lol

I have 2 new in packet Trinity parts. I haven't been able to bring myself to open them. I was going to fit one of them to this Kinwald but left it in its packet........
