No grip - Cougar SV
Anyone have any suggestions on how to get the Cougar SV to generate any grip on a wet / greasey astro or grass track.
Without using a list of parts a mile long off the options list!!! Starting from the kit setup I've changed various things including wheels base, anti squat and the rear camber plates, but none have really made any significant improvements. All I seem to be able to achieve is lift off and mid corner oversteer and power on understeer all happening much quicker than I can think!!

you could try taking body posts out that will give the car more flex..

Just as a matter of interest what tyres are you running? Are they the same others are running in the same conditions?
Have you tried things like more rear toe-in, softer rear springs, longer rear camber links, saddle pack battery placement, switching the front wishbones to run them on the "wrong" side, more front tow-in, etc. You could also try turning down the steering curve on your transmitter or turning down the brakes on your speedo as a last resort too. |

You will need to get your rear weight split up. If you put your shocks on the back you effectively move 50 grams from the front of your axle to the rear.
You can file off the wishbone boss's to move them 1mm further forward and do the same on the front hub. If you have any lead run 80 grams screwed to the rear camberlink plate. keep doing this till you get your desired feel Trish

if you dont mind hacking into your undertray and body, lay the battery like the x6 crossways. This is the easiest way to get the majority of weight over the rear end without spending a ridiculous amount of money on saddle packs/conversion/brass weight kits.

Saddle packs will fit straight in a std chassis, no conversion kit needed
