Quite easily i'd guess - if you buy car, b/l gear, lipo, KO radio etc.

I like how they're using cheapo rtr transmitters with a "£1200" CAT.

see it for what it is exposure the the world of rc, on a high profile techno tv show, after all tescos do a tv for £60, but the review high end ones, so why not rc high end? it showed there is a technical side to rc and not just toys r us!(did i say it was on a tech tv show)
go check out prices rrp
car
brushless gear
lipo
servo
charger

Default gadget show

Well i watched it and it was ok.

It really did not give a good picture or even recognise that the RCworld has a serious and strong following and that if they had tried hard they could have had some serious distance on the jumps and some serious speed with the right vehicles.

That said it is still exposure I loved the rocket car and the twin MP777 (now current guiness record holder)

believe me i have tried hard to get some more rc onto the show the best i have done so far is a review for a micro truck on the website

I have offered helicopters (not stupid toy ones they show every time)
Jets.
Micro racers.

It shows it is not what you can do but who you know.
All we need is a stud among rc racers to get Suzi on board! Trouble is we dont get many of those in our hobby!!!!!!

But i think we have to keep in context their reviews on stuff is always biased and does not give a complete list of stuff available.

So it is just for fun and did do a bit of promo for RC, even if they did manage to break every car they touched.

We watched it - our daughter's boyfriend quite enjoyed it, and he has raced my spare B4 and driven my HN RX car, so he has some sense of what we do.

Exposure is always good - the only shame was a lack of mention of how to get into the sport BRCA etc. But having worked with the media a few times I know that they have a very fixed view of what they want from the item.

Well done Schumacher, Muzzy, Leon, Mac, Carter etc - any publicity at all is better than nothing.

oi you tails lol i pissed my self as much as you did when they said rc camp i laughed my tits off ..

but you no what tv people do with editing..

all in all it wont do our sport any harm.

regards cat price they asked how much to build my car from new to as it stood there...

tranny lipo and charger speedo etc

car £350 tranny £350 speedo £185 motor £80 lipo £75 charger £50 servo £100 pro painted shell £35

they were round figures!

if we had more than 2 days to desighn and build all three cars they would have been much faster

some good pr for schumacher and the sport in general ..

Agreed. At least they got people in that know the sport rather than trying to blag it. It always makes me cringe when TV shows feature stuff that they know nothing about and get every fact wrong.

yeah nice people to work with but its a shame they didnt show the other
stuff we did muzzy drove an elctriccar we built to just under 100mph that looked fast.. and she did do jumps with the cat and they were good but never showed them.

i jumped the cat and went miles but the guiness bloke said it wouldnt count because the car bounced as it landed ...

the ramp was way to steep aswell but they had a expert work it out lol

oh well still good for the sport.

What wind was it in the CAT for the 55mph run Leon ?

What became of the monster TC that i saw on the table at Worksop with the huge Lipo ? I thought that would be going for the record.

I had to listen through one ear as had guests arrive at last minute

the bit that hacked me off was the presenters kept calling them "remote" controlled cars...
