Default Rain stops play

Well it was a shame about the weather stopping play early. The track was nice though, definatly enjoyed the raised sections as they added a great element to the track.

Thanks to all the holbeach crew for putting in the effort, lets hope the weather is better at the next round in the series.

If someone from the club can send me the final results over I will whack up a bit of a report.

Hi All who braved the Holbeach weather. Well done because it was a nightmare that just got worse and worse. And thanks Robbie for the vote of thanks - a lot of club members turned out to make the site raceable and without this effort we could not put on a meeting.
As to results Jim will send these in due course. What I can confirm is that results will be based on "best single score from two" with ties decided by the best scoring round time.
So even if you did not score in one run you still have the other to rely on.
Regards.

Hi all.
Phew, what a day.
Shame the weather closed in as forecast. I was quite happy to run as these car are pretty well waterproof. but the majority voted for ending.
It was getting pretty heavy as we were packing away though.
Impressed with the track though. A lot bumpier than I actually expected, but liked how the track didn't hold the water and didn't form any puddles when it rained. But the layout was good.

Shame I missed the first run. Ametuers mistake of not re-checking the heat listing due to fiddling with the car. So I only got the second run in.

I have a few photos that I will post later. Not many sorry.

Nice piccy of my B4, thanks Tel - but not sure I like the grumpy bloke in the big coat!!!

I really enjoyed the day - weather bad but racing and track good!

Roll on the next one!

If anyone fancies a one-off race at a new venue we are looking at a grass venue near Newark for a 'trial run' to see if the demand is there in the area. Sometime in late June perhaps??

PM me if you fancy coming along.
