Technically yes but as you need all of the middle of the car it would work out cheaper to sell your existing one and buy a 15.

In principle yes but it'll probably be cheaper to buy a new kit and sell your old car.

Have to say i am a little frustrated with Xray that all these changes are being released after the 2015 spec has been released. If i make all the recommend changes to car for astro, it will owe me well over £500! Why were they not included in the Kit? The good thing about the original car was it had everything you needed out of the box. Never thought a cheaper option would be to buy the ZX6!

Options are exactly that.
Most average standard drivers won't notice the difference that most options will provide so you don't have to get them.

Even if you did sped 500 quid, ud save more than that in not repairing it. I had a zx6 for 2 months and did about 70 quid on arms alone. The thing is made is biscuits

Another thing to keep in mind is not getting caught up in the thought you need everything you see the Pro's running. If you are crashing every other lap, your issue is not the difference in running an optional 3mm chassis, you need to work on running cleaner laps. I include myself in this group, I don't race much during the winter and read everything and get all wound up about the latest and greatest new stuff. I'm still waiting to see if this new chassis replaces the stock chassis for running on clay, maybe I'll get it, I dunno yet, but at a club level, will it be the difference in me making the A Main if I keep crashing or run old tires? Nah. The 2016 might come standard with this chassis!

The 3mm chassis is predominantly for carpet (high grip) as far as I know so not for clay

Well, that's me completely confused with so many different ways to set up the flex. I think I'll leave mine standard as it's good enough!!

I'd like to see some new set ups for outdoors on clay or hard packed to see how these are being used vs. the traditional top deck set ups. I'm not running the rear top deck, so to use these lower decks, I'd only run the front one? I might get them for carpet...but I have the top decks for that already...dang!

I'm thinking about getting the xb4 '15. Is there a 2016 version coming out? I'm currently an b44 driver and looking to upgrade, what are these like on astro?

Great on astro, get or make a bulkhead brace and the metal crown gear and pinion.

I'm sure there is a 16 coming but with which new bits as standard I'm not sure.
3mm chassis is good, but I'll be testing the standard chassis with CF stiffeners.

Xray, why do you release 12mm wheels when all your cars are 14mm......?

This is due to the move to standardize the wheels for off road to make it possible for pre-mounts at large events (similar to the way it's done in TC I believe).

I think its a rule that has been proposed to come into action for the Worlds in 2017.

Although it might be a little bit messy to start with, in the long run it will be better for everyone I think.

There is always a 2016, 20[insert year here] coming out, Xray is a business and they need to release new cars often. But to answer, I cannot recommend the XB4 highly enough. I love it, it is made for astro, grip roll does not exist with this car. I have the '15 model and run shorty lipo's and they fit my DB2 so I am a happy camper.

Good news they will support 12mm hexes, other than Durango I did not think anyone else supports 14mm hexes.

Cheers
Simon
