Arrow 8ight

Had my sweaty mitts on one of the few cars that are in Blighty tonight at Telford. Looks really good, wide and stocky, in a good way, and the shell looks evil in real life, again in a good way really looking forward to trying one soon (fingers and toes crossed)

Glad you liked the look of it, my only regret was not being able to get it on track last night. I need to make sure I'm happy before making a 'debut' with it!

I'm guessing you think Schuey oil is a tad thin for its rating then Phil?...buggy looked really good standing still though so fingers crossed for when it takes to the rug

Question mini 8ight shell

Wonder if the bodyshell and other bits will be released straight away, if not I can see some colour clash confusion during racing?

I guess that means a short shelf-life for the carisma.

i'm in 2 minds whether to get one or not,

has anyone tried one with your own electrics in it compared to the box standard, and if you have, is it faster than the LRP Shark,

i thought about getting the carisma when it came out but they have had a while now and still cant get any spare parts out there, unless of course your a team driver

ive heard losi parts will be in abundance, sounds good,

Full range of spares have arrived into stock today for the Mini 8IGHT (including clear bodies ) they are currently being priced up and checked off right now, then they will all be listed on our website.

Before anyone asks, no optional parts just yet, only standrd spares by the looks of things..........

dude, carisma parts have been available for ages @ trackside spares, official shop of the micro nationals.

as for speed, any car is fast if you drive it fast, your own electrics or not.

fwiw, andy jones and mark stiles ran stock motors with other speedos (ezrun and orion i think) and both seemed to do ok.

i only asked if anyone had tried their own motor and speedo in there cos they had a race with 5 stock mini 8ights at the winter series last sunday and my lrp shark was a lot faster down the straights

what i meant to ask is has anyone who has a shark and purchased a mini 8ight took the shark electrics out and put them in the losi and then had any idea which is the fastest with the same electrics

Hi Ron

I ran the mini-8 at Telford National last week as stock, the only thing I'd changed was to put the EzRun Speedo in it out of my Shark, that is the only thing that followed me over from one car to the next.

Straight line speed I can agree with you that my Shark (running a 6900kv) motor was quicker than my Losi (4500kv). However the 'slower' motor delivers the better package for me and for what I'm trying to achieve (National Championship).
