New maps to help you leave the venue, there in the 1st post also

Leaving for the South

Leaving for the North

the difference is you have to go through this underpass on Warkworth Road were it goes under the dual carriage way just after the roundabout to get back to the traffic lights at B on the map. see here

leaving to get to the M1 remains the same

makes ye wounder why people bother trying to organise these races ye all must spend a fortune on your rc equipment but non of you even have a car battery to charge from you lot must be spoilt for places to race being able to pick and choose weather to race over something a silly as this

as an out sider it makes me not want to get into 1/10th seeing you all so huphy

just my opinion though

I don't think it's about being huffy at all, I'm sure it states in the hand book that a regional venue is to provide 240v, (correct me if I'm wrong). As this series is being run to brca rules bar cells I think it is assumed power will be available

Davo, don't be put off. We're all great friends and its the most successful class within the BRCA - and the North East is probably amongst the best regions in terms of number of clubs/racer and level of skill.

All it is, is that all venues have had 240v for so long that we have become so used to it we take it for granted. So all our gear runs from 240v power supplys (to 12v) and we also use this in the summer from Generators.

TRCC is a great club and is just unfortunate to not have 240v, and because of us racers having 240v for so long we don't need 12v, so to need one for one event - many can't justify buying one.

What I have suggested is those who need to, share. Nobody has got huffy about anything.

I have pulled out for other reasons, which is a shame as id liked to have gone. Although I wouldn't buy a 12v as it wouldn't be needed afterwards, id look at pre-charging what I can and sharing to get through the day.

But don't be put off, come and join the fun and everyone will make you welcome.

Good News

Entires are on the up since my 1st post even after some have dropped a class or not attending. I know because I have a copy of those that had entered when I made the 1st post

This is despite people having to beg, steal or borrow a 12 volt to charge from Davo

To be honest. I took my name off the list due to not having a car battery to charge from but im being a t@$t and should just ask who will let me share there supply so i can attend?
I was a bit annoyed with the lack of drivers at NERCR and i know how much work was put in by Chris P and Bill, giving up his Sunday to come and shout at everybody on the Mic. so im back in(if im allowed!)

Come on then oOplers. Who will let me piggy back there supply?(Doing 2 classes aswell)

Hello, I have four 12 volt batteries which will be ready to go, three are 85 amp and one is 110 amp.

I will charge them all up and bring them with me, the only thing I can't provide is four leakproof containers!

It suprised me too Chris, I always without exception come away from an NERCR meeting knowing I have enjoyed myself. The track is probably the best of the clubs, and the venues are ace whether at Nissan or Temple Park. Lets bang these drums so next year attendance is high. Don't let anybody loose heart - those who do attend appreciate the work done and im looking forward to Jarrow now.

I am actually quite impressed by how much commitment you guys have, as the distance a few don;t want to do every so often, you do in reverse most weeks.
