I can tell you for sure the X - 60 strap will not fit on an X - 6. The way the strap is mounted just wouldn't work on the buggy - the strap doesn't have material over where you could bolt it down, and it does have extra material that would get in the way of other stuff.

I think it's a shame that nobody produces this strap (X factory should come with 1 very soon).

I find it a bit amateuristic that you can run the car with lipo but you can not buy a descent strap for it.

You can run the existing strap, just if you want to put the esc into the central square instead of the two cells, then the strap fouls the esc, its up to you.

As far as I know, the X - 6 was the first car anywhere to come standard with a battery strap that works with LiPo. The reason why the X - 6 strap looks the way it does is that we made it fit both cells and LiPo. As far as I know, we are the only car that accomodate both so easily.

Therefore, I think shots at us for "amateruistic" are quite harsh indeed.

With the X - 60 we are again breaking new ground: The 60 has been designed entirely around LiPo, with cells an afterthought, instead of the other way 'round. Drivers who wish to run cells in thier 60s will actually have to purchase a different battery strap as a separate part.

When the truck is finally out (It is just taking forever...) we'll see what we can do to make the X - 6 work bertter with LiPo. One thing at a time!

That's completely uncalled for. The kit X-6 strap works just fine to hold the Lipo in, I've been using mine like that for ages.

i should have some news very soon regarding the availabilty of my carbon lipo strap conversion kit. it will have all the parts needed to convert your x-6 to hold most common lipo packs and have some carbon infill pieces to allow you to fit the esc in the middle of the chassis

keep watching !!

Default Strap Issues?

The car works perfectly with the kit strap for cells or lipo. Its the easiest car to swap one to the other on the market. Peeps only have any probs if they move the speedo to the middle. If you use the normal kit positions for the electrics its perfect. I love mine to bits and dont see what the fuss is about. It suits all my lipos and handles brilliantly. Keep up the amazing work X-Factory.

but with the lipo's in, and the ESC in the middle, you really can start to balance the car just as you want to...plus, with the ESC in the middle, the wires can be kept as short as possible and the chances of it getting any moisture on it during the UK summer season is reduced even further.

So it's all good.

I have some lipo specific carbon straps in the works... prototypes will be made very soon in silver carbon , the designs are finalised and finished on cad just waiting for a reply from the company that will be cutting the parts for me there will also be a line other parts perhaps available for the X6 that I've been busy with for the past month. When I have them I'll post it all up and if there's enough interest (10 people or more atleast) I will have a batch made from the black carbon weave that is more favoured

Cool! As to mods & prototypes, there's 2 good options as I see it:

1) Sell it via a dealer with an international webstore. "Someone" then has to coordinate production and distribution.

2) Place the CAD's with for instance Fibre Lyte so anyone who likes can order their own copy. If you order for instance the tower braces for XX4/X-5 you can actually ask to get Dan Greenwods version.

Good luck! Looking forward to see the stuff!
