Default 10mm hex wheels for Cat 2000

Hi All,

I purchased some wheels for my Cat 2000 and didn't realise they'd stopped making 14mm hex wheels about 10 years ago... :-)

So are there any adapters or tricks I can use to fit them to my Cat 2000. I've thought about shaving 2mm off each side of the 14mm hex nuts, but the wheels have a deeper (don't know what word to use..) space for the hex nuts to fit in. I guess I could pack the space with washers...

Unless there are any modern drive shafts that will fit??

Cheers,

Stuart

Or if you send me the hub , driveshaft ,original wheel hex and one new wheel , I’ll machine you some adapters .

Well, I asked Kevin (Rs fruitbat) to have a go at making some 12mm (not 10mm) hexes for the Cat 2000. I can say with confidence that he was successful. They are a work of art and fit perfectly, as you can see in the pictures below.

Thanks Kevin!!

Stuart.
