27mhz to 2.4ghz conversion

Hi,

I'm just getting back to the hobby after a while away and like the idea of converting my old sanwa mt3 27mhz transmitter to 2.4ghz. Its not a great radio but I like it and the nostalgia factor! I've looked up about DIY hack mods but could do with completely up to date info with whats available now.

Any help would be great!
