No sorry it is really a little shop that i discovered during a trip in Japan. It's not in Tokyo and have no a web site. By the way it was a true toys vintage paradise.
Akihabara is not a good place for rare things; all foreign people go in that place. I have a friend in Japan that sometimes went in this shop. This set is the last because the owner of this shop will close it in the next weeks (he's a very old man). |

Craig Harris and me bought the sprint for club and was rather good for the price and took a lot of abuse. Nice find. Pity you didnt see any kyosho lazer zxs spares as i would have had them off you.

wow, what a trip, back in the day when nikko was trying to compete with tamiya and kyosho. i always had respect for nikkos hobby grade cars, and the tomy intruder too.

Just spent the last two weekends rennovating a super sprint that's been in the loft for about 10/12 years. Apart from the sponge motor cover that had rotted away, all it needed was a good clean to get the sand out of it (last used on a Scottish beach around 1999/2000), a few hours of tlc, new oil in the dampers & hey ho ready to go. Batteries only hold about 4/5 mins worth of running now & it could use a smear of electrical grease on the speed controller but other than that it's in great condition, Was thinking of selling it because my son never took an interest, but the bug might have just bitten again...

I never realised 'Nikko' etc were collectible, I only ever saw tamiya and kyosho cars advertised in magazines... The odd marui too. Anything nib always makes us old school peeps smile ;-)
Thanks for sharing

Me too when i bought those kit some month in Japan. But now i know that the Nikko brat (kit 1 & 2) is a true "sacro graal" in nikko's collectors world. Last month a Brat full kit has been sold for over of 3000Euro on ebay.it (yes crazy money). No fake a real auction ended with also positive feedbacks . My kit is very rare due to yellow box. |
