Default Vintage Racing 30th July

Hi All,

First Meeting 30th July 19:00 till 23:00

We would like to make this a fun and cheap way of coming racing with your vintage car.

So the rules FOR NOW-
Class 1-
Pre 93 cars with standard 540 silver can (any Batteries, speedo etc)
Class 2-
Pre 2000 cars with standard 540 silver can (any Batteries, speedo, etc)
Class 3-
Any car pre 93 with no limits to motors or running gear PLEASE BE SENSIBLE.

All classes will be run in a different heat to each other so that it is closer racing. Please not we need enough of you to make this work.

The rules are just to get us going and think to start with this will allow everyone a chance of racing what they have without having go out and spend a lot of money.

Do you mean Tamiya-Mabuchi RS540SH silver can motors only or any 27T stock motor?

Hi Paul. Yeah any 27T will be fine. It should make for some good racing.

I am in class 2 CAT 2000 with a silver can for me.

I'll be there

Schumacher Pro Cat running 540 class

Rob please could you clarify the motor rule, is it 27t brushed only or can we use 21.5t brushless?

I don't have any electrics for my Pro Cat yet so want to buy the right thing!!

I really like the idea of people racing wheel to wheel at equal speeds

DrPaul you mentioned before that you have some motors and speedos that you could let us have at cost, this may be the best solution for me, for budgeting could you let me know how much a motor and esc would be please?

Can't wait for this

Shaun

Just to be clear. It's 27T brushed motors in class 1 & 2 only.

Well the xx was Dec 93, so the xxx would definitely be too modern.

I'm tempted with class 3 - rc10 with 13.5

Class 3 for me rocking the good ol' Losi JRX2

Anyone got a spare brushless motor going cheap 10.5 or 13.5 would do nicely ...
