Fastest way to change spur gear
Hey all
Is there a fast way of changing the x10 spur gear? Sounds silly but if it happens trak side you dont get much time. Thanks TJF |

Not really, with help from a buddy I remember replacing a spur gear in about 15 min but this was not during a racing weekend.
If you have to do it under pressure of competition alone & you know your way around the pred, you should be able to get it done in under 10 min... later |

I had to change a spur gear on sunday, I was not looking forward to doing it. But after a bit of help from Northy I did it in 10 mins. So not the horror story that everybody says.

if you are carefull you don't need to disassemble the front and you can slide the prop shaft out of the one way.

It's easy. Ive done a full diff rebuild in 10 mins before, 8 mins is my record for a spur, and that was in the freezing cold of tivvys winter series meeting. (yes i timed because Bathy said it wasn't possible to get it done in time)

somebody needs to come up with a quick release wheel hub that you can stick a spur on. if it still worked with the slipper, i think it would be a hit!
