Default I think its nearly finished

I want to post some pics up as my camera has to go back monday and i wont get any more done on it between now and then so i thought ide post some pics up its almost done just a few small details.

So here is my mardave v12 with escot mk1 twin cam rally. And for a laught while doing the mardave rcing at Oswestry indoors ive got a caravan for it hehe. The caravan even has suspension

Ive got mini lite wheels for it

It makes the car with th caravan on it makes it twice as long as normal its huge now its going to be fun for peopel to try and overtake me as it hasnt lost any speed as the caravan is so light.

And to atach it ive used a servo post with a ballstud in it and screwed that to the back of the shell and on the caravan i have a long losi ball stud screwed on so it works just like a normal toe bar.

Things left to do repair My LED's for the car
Possibly look into putting led's into the caravan using a small plug between the car and the caravan.
Get some grey vinyl and make some windows.
Then RACE!!!!

Wat do you think.

I love it. Are you going to paint the trailer?

I remember "back in the day" racing indoors at Kiddy we had Christmas special caravan/trailer races. If you're not towing, you can't race. It was really quite a laugh.

None of them looked as good as your caravan though. Can we see the chassis without the shell?

good idea actually.. two shock bottoms on either side, screw + washers + nuts.. bit of slack and job done.

it's not the driving it around i was thinking of.. more so when you get hit.

very true I was thinking of putting like oneof them snatch cables so if it does come off i will still drag it around im not worried about loosing it im more owrried about people ramming it falls off.

Cidies should be sorted soon just need to fix the leds as i broke oneof the cibies thurdya night and ti was glued in so i had to smash the led out so i need to solder a new one on but i aint go tmy iron.

looking sweet, i think the shock idea would work good too, make sure its attached to your chassis though, otherwise say byebye to the back of the shell. get some 'neons' for the caravan and go pimping

Paint the caravan with a big target so everyone else can do some Top Gear style caravan bashing. That would be fun.

What about mounting your iPod in the caravan and a scale bass tube in the boot of the escort?

I dont liek the ipod idea i hvent got one lol

As for the caravan i think mike is planning on getting one and craig and neil are planning on getting mardaves so im sure we can persuade them to get caravans. Then there is just your dad garath who does like the idea so its a posability.

Antee im going to get a piece of scrylic to put in the back of the shell so it shoudnt break.

That's sounding more like Top Gear.

Why not use an old CVD axle and cup joint suitabley modified for the Caravan hitch, will not unhitch unless say unscrewed from the the servo post.
The axle end could then go through the body and be fixed to the caravan chassis; much stronger and less liable to break the hitch end off the body in my opinion.

Lighting connection between car and caravan you could use say a BEC plug and socket with the coiled telephone wire for the cable, again just a thought for you to think about.

I have a water bowser that I tow behind a 4wd buggy on fun nights at my club.
It has monster truck wheels and tyres, the jumps are no problem with this setup as the connection is wire and spring; simple and strong.

I like your set up its more to scale than mine, and you should put the lights on both, maybe even a flashing blue one on the car roof and police signs along the sides of the caravan at least HaHa

Target on the back is a good idea too Ha Ha

Sorry I realise you dont want it targeted for the demolition derby type racing.

I think it should stay on my mum did drive it around for a bit i was very impressed but she drove it around avoided everything then she went up the drive between me and my next door nabours car andi was getting even more impressed when she went straight under my dads car and got it jamed under the wishbone. Dad had to lift the bodywork of the car to get it out. and it still didnt come off.

Good times....
