Default Ps3 dual shock3 repair?

My controller battery mustbe finished as if it's disconnected from the console it immediately goes off and won't come back on. Is it possible to replace the controller battery? Wouldn't mind but it's only around a year old and hasn't had much use. A replacement appears to be around £40. Bugger.

The battery is easy to replace, get one of these: http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStatio...6|prd:20446036 from play.com, open up the controller and replace the battery.

There's a how to video on youtube as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWk4MBiu0a4

I took mine apart as the L1 was reall sticky and gammy, but I struggled putting the mechcanism back in and then gave up. Really annoying as I can't physically do it. They arent the easiest thing to do :/
