Default Cat K1 CF tub chassis

Hi There.

Thought i'd post some pics of what i've been upto . As title says its a carbon tub for a K1. it's weight is around 66g which is 100g lighter than the standard ally kit one. the chassis is 2mm thick and the sides are 1.5mm thick.

its never been tested so can't comment on how the car handles with it.

Hi there.

I never ran the carbon tub chassis as i made it for someone at my local club. I'm not sure he ever raced it to be honest.

I did make one for carlos69 but never got any feedback from it.

Chassis looks good... Has it been tested yet... I'd like to try back to back test between that and a standard cf chassis

I can't offer any feedback in answer since my tub has yet to be drilled out ...

hi there.

The carbon tub was very ridged compared to the std flat alloy one. the only flex came from the narrow front and rear parts where the alloy diff housing bolt onto.
you can add more or less flex/twist depending on how you lay the carbon.
