the receiver is about the size of the SR3000 Spektrum receiver, I understand CML will be bringing out 2.4GHz in both budget and race orientated, using wheel and sticks, from the same manufacturer, priced competitively. My kids have been using the wheel version, and it is really good, trying out the stick one this weekend, although the sticks needed chopping down.

My son has been using the wheel version of it which CML will be bringing out very soon, in his saloon and it has worked fine, there is a little thing which is good, if you switch on to the wrong model memory, the radio won't connect with the wrong receiver for that model.

Be interesting to know if it feels cheap or if it has a decent weight to it. Think someone needs to do a review on it

It feels like a KO, so cheap and plasticky, but then, when you are getting 15 model memory, 3 channels and lots of adjustment, what do you expect?

The Core stick TX is quite nice actually. Feels better made than a KO...
It's not a very big unit, smaller than all the other computer transmitters. Aerial is removable so less damage when transporting which is good. The screen is also quite small but the menu is functional and not difficult to navigate, although the one tone beep you get got on my nerves! Not looked much at the rx but seems to be about the same size as a standard Spektrum. |

i'm hoping it's nice and thin like the old KO radios. I hate the fat Futaba transmitters!
I'll wait to hold one trackside before i take the plunge. But asuming the unit is pretty reliable i think they will sell buckets of these.

Not as thin as a KO, but nearer to that than a Futaba or Sanwa.
The sticks are a bit longer too. |

China made, factory in guangzhou. Online price is around 52 GBP.
Check out... http://www.chiyuan.net/prodetail.php?id=155&b=2 Even the domestic (china) review is not that good. Personally speaking, i think Sanwa/Airtronics Super Exzes is still the best stick radio. Hope they will come out with a real 2.4g version. |

Hmm, chances of it working with spektrum receivers?

core rc stuff is usually good stuff, but anything that is ('maximum best' performance and reliability.)has to be worth a try
