Default parts support in Aus

I'm relocating internationally to Sydney in the next couple of weeks and am hoping to get involved with the local 1:10 off road racing scene. I'm wondering what makes and models have good parts support in Aus? I'm particalarly interested in 2wd buggy and 2wd short course. Or is 4wd SC more popular? I'm partial to metric if possible, but will buy a new set of allen drivers if necessary. Thanks fro your help, you guys' tracks look fab!

Hi Falcon pwner,

I've just been investigating returning to racing in Sydney. My research so far put AE Team Associated at the top of the list for availability and racing in OZ. Team Losi is also present. There's always ebay! There are about 3 Off-Road EP 1/10th Clubs in Sydney - St Ives, Castle Hill and Ryde.

I'm looking at starting with St Ives in 2012.

Cheers.

i think you'll find good support for both cars.
most hobby shops carry AE parts and i do believe northern beaches hobbies have TLR22 parts in stock.
not forgetting, the distributor for Durango (i.e. venom group) is also located in sydney, therefore parts for durango cars can also be bought locally.

4wd SC is slowly gaining in popularity.
almost all clubs have 2wd SC for a start.

i would suggest you come down to check out the club racing scene, have a chat with club committee & members, check out the tracks before buying anything.

Hi guys,

Comparing Team Associated, Tamiya and Durango. Who has the best support? From best to worst?

I live in Quakers Hill NSW. Who are the supplier or distributor of each of them above? Cheapest as well
