Default Nitro for dummys

Hi there. Im getting more tempted by the sound of screaming nitro engines but being a electric guy i know nothing about nitro.

Ive looked at guides to nitro rc but seem to be learning nothing and only what i allready know about what a car is gear ratios and threadlock, but the guides are not helping in the fact that what is that big metal thing bolted to the chassis and how does it work!

Nothing seems to be solving these questions.

What the hell is a glow stick thing?
How does the nitro engine work?
Engines run on nitro fuel of 20%? Whats meant to be in the other 80% my tea?
Will my car make me richer or does it need to be richer or (poorer)?
..And many more questions.
Is there another forum more dedicated to nitro?

Internet seems to be filled with idiots that only know what blue loctite is and nothing else.

Am sorta wanting a buggy or truck to mess around with and then race possibly but there all really expensive. What should I look for?

Ok so a nitro engine works in much the same way as a 2 stroke engine and runs on nitro-methanol.
Nitro methanol is normally made up of 25%nitro 9-15% oil and the rest methanol.
Nitro engine do not use a spark to ignite the fuel instead they use a glow plug which is much like a heater plug in any diesel engine. The fuel is compressed against the hot plug and the explosion happens. Now when the engine is running the heat from the explosions keeps the glow plug hot enough to ignite the next lot of compressed fuel. Before the engine will start the glow plug needs to be hot and with no on-board power source we use a glow clip to power in then remove it once the engine is running
as simple as i can put it really
