And its a big IF Lee, until there is enough interest to contemplate running separate heats then the rules remain pretty open.

Hi Dave, we are predominantly a Touring Car club running 13.5 motors and open ESC rules. We have one regular gt12 racer who runs a mardave at the moment but have had other gt12 visitors. We also run buggies once a month along side the normal TC heats but as i say we are mainly a touring car club. As for specific models the schumacher mi4 and xray t3/t4 are the most popular cars at the moment.

Theres plenty of info on www.ketteringmcc.co.uk and if you get the chance just pop in one Friday night and have a look round and a chat.

Yeah its about time for your annual visit puppy, not sure gt12 will really take off for us to be honest, yet to see henson's car! I've been tempted to get one but i already have too many toys and wouldn't want to give up TC in order to race gt12's

I assume you mean on the buggy nights? either is fine, we just do it for fun and to give our members that have buggies a chance to run them on one of our nights. Most have 2wd as that is by far a more popular class at club level at the moment.

lol ok yeah, touring cars are almost always 4wd. 2wd drive touring cars do exist and tend to be fwd and struggle to put the power down making them uncompetitive against 4wd.

For more advice from more of the members have a look at our facebook page too, tends to be more active than here plus has more up to date club info (a new website is due very soon so hasn't been kept as up to date as it should).
