Default 22-4 2.0 low grips/wet Astro help

I set my car up as per Ellis here http://site.petitrc.com/setup/losi/s...TORCH20160814/ and it felt good in practice, however it then rained and I was always chasing rear grip and I don't feel I had that much steering either!

Things I changed:

Layed front and rear shocks down
Changed to 2 degrees of anti squat
Took front and rear roll bars off
Backed off slipper

Nothing seemed to transform the car and was still loose at rear on and off power, but more loose on power I would say. Loosening the slipper helped, but I was worried I would melt the spur as it took a lot more throttle to clear jumps etc. I tried new bb greens all round, but interestingly I was no quicker than with a pretty worn set!

Any Suggestions?

In low grip/damp astro conditions of earlier this year, I ran the following main differences to the setup you posted:

AE White Spring Front
2 x 1.7mm pistons
37.5wt oil
30K Front Diff Oil
Same Shock mountings/camber/roll bar

AE Green Spring Rear
2 x 1.8mm pistons
30wt oil
20K Rear Diff Oil
2 on Tower, original inside on wishbone
Kit hubs (not the raised ones from 2wd)
Same Wheelbase/roll bar
2mm spacer on inside camber link

I also find that if you are softening the car up to get more grip, raise the ride height a bit to encourage it to roll/lean a bit more.

I prefer to run the slipper a little looser than expected; I just prefer the way the car behaves than with it being tight. But yes, I guess need to be careful not to run too loose so that nothing melts! You can get away with it a bit more when the track is slick.

Change to the standard rear hubs and lower the diff oils right down. If it still doesn't have enough rear grip put the shocks on the back.

You shouldn't need to swap between the 2 I run the 1.0 camber block all the time.

Obvious question, but have you tried the mini darts silver?

I found them much better than bb greens on my sdx4. They produce so much more forward grip. They last longer as well.

No, I was going to ask about those, what did you put up front?

I've run silver darts on my 4wd all round. I think they are better in the wet than bb greens. I put 4wd tyre's on the front, not 2wd,car was really good.
