Unfortunatley the YORCC is closed for the summer now. First race meeting back is in September. A mardave wouldn't be the best choice of car either, we're an off road car club and the jumps may prove detrimental to your jollification.

There is a club in Sherburn-in-Elmet though, they run Mardaves...

Default Greetings

Hi thanks for adding me to the FB group the other day. I got your details and joined this forum on the recommendation of another user that I met through work....I don't know his user name, and until I know the oople forum etiquette regarding real world names will keep it to myself, but if he reads this he will probably know who he is.

I live local to York and am keen to get back into RC and Racing so thought I would pop over on the 8th September and say hello. No cars to race at the moment, (other than an old losi xxx4 and MF2 truck with brushed setups and batteries that last about 45seconds...) but am more than happy to help setup the track and do a bit of marshaling if its needed.

Anyways, I was looking for a section of the forum to say 'Hello', and figured this would be as good a place as any....Oh, and apologies in advance for all the newbie questions that I will probably ask, things appear to have changed somewhat since I last did this...

...So Hi, I'm Gray and I am a born again RC'er.

Gray and Jim, you'll both be very welcome at the York club, it's a nice friendly club to race at with plenty of people who know what they are doing and willing to help.

They also have a couple of great outdoor tracks that they run the meetings at near Worksop - Robinhood Raceway (RHR) and RHR Dirt

You also have a lot of good racers living local to you that will be willing to help.

I don't run the tracks down at worksop i just helped out a bit down there. There is indoor racing at worksop but that's a different club - bit confusing sorry. Batley race both indoors and outdoors too.

Default Autumn 2014 newbie

Hi all, my name is Martin Taylor.. I came over to YORCC for the last night of the season before the summer break.. I thoroughly enjoyed the night and intend to return for the 540 series in September..

I ran the green LRP twister in the 540 class and managed 6th spot(I think..!)in the B final after a coming together of several drivers at the end of the straight... I luckily managed to pick my way through the jumble and managed to hold on to the position so for me..!

I ran a tamiya sports tuned but will using a sat20 for next season.. I also may have a change of car too.. I'm considering dusting off the B4 and maybe with a little help from a good friend, Ill be looking to improve my position..

Thanks for making me welcome and I look forward to competing next time.. I'm on FB as em tee so any invites will be gratefully accepted..

Now, all I have to do is shake off a recently broken wrist and we are away!!!
