Default Thumbs Design weight kit with TP Lipo

Anyone running the weights with a Thunder Power 1800mah lipo? I found that the weight on the front battery post stops the battery sitting flat on chassis, instead in rests on the edge of weight.
Not happy about that as the corner of brass weight could split the soft lipo wrapping.
How do people get round this, cut some of the weight block off?

Hi Chris,

The Front weight is designed to be used with a "short" lipo, like the hardcase IP or Vampire ones or the Turnigy / Zippy 87mm softcase ones that most people used up until they discontinued them this year.

There are such a huge range of lipo sizes and weights out there that it is almost impossible to cater for every one of them.

I have just looked up the specs for the TP 1800 and it is long and narrow making it the same weight as a "short" lipo. This means it does need a weight fitted to balance the car.

If you want to return the weight I would be happy to modify it to suit a 100mm long lipo for you.

I may need to look at doing a weight to suit this size of lipo in the future.
